7:00 am-9:00 am: Breakfast, followed by free play time
9:00 am- 10:00 am: Learning centers, group play and art
10:00 am- 11:30 am: Exercise, walks, outdoor play
11:30 am- 12:45 pm: Free play time, TV time, lunch
12:45 pm- 3:00 pm: Story time, followed by nap/ rest time
3:00 pm- 3:30 pm: Snack
3:30 pm- 4:30 pm: Group play, dance, outdoor play
4:30 pm- 5:00 pm: Free play time
During free play time, children play with age-appropriate toys, either alone or with others, and read/ look at books.
Learning activities include listening to music, playing educational computer games, using busy bags, playing games and learning letters, numbers, colors and shapes.
Exercise includes running, jumping, dancing, going for walks, playing outdoors and climbing on age-appropriate outdoor play equipment.
TV is allowed on a daily basis but is limited to an hour or less total throughout the day. We only watch age-appropriate shows geared toward early learning, such as Barney or Sesame Street. Once or twice a year we may have a Friday Pajama & Movie Day as a special treat, depending on the ages of children in care.
